oh come on. mary? wasn't she above this dirtiness? i've been looking for a really good madonna with child nursing ornament (or a non madonna and child ornament) for miss v. i've only been able to find some cheesy "breastmilk feeds the soul" wooden ones though.
Check out skete.com I'm pretty sure that's where this came from. And if you can't find an acutal ornament, this icon is really light and measures 4.5 x5.5 (or thereabouts) and could easily be made into an ornament.
Oh, and if you are looking around online, do a search for Theotokos.
I like it when big gruff midwives tell women that breast is best. It makes me laugh very quietly.
Hey Owl, just ask my daughter which is best...she gives free 'checks' (read, rips the neck of your shirt down to peer inside) to see if a new friend has the right anatomy. Freaks the hell out of my sister!
