Armistice Day

In honour of Armistice Day (aka Veteran's Day to those in the US), here are several photos taken on our honeymoon two years ago. We were lucky enough to be in Scotland on Armistace Day and witnessed several parades and a multitude of paper red poppies. Posted by Picasa

go in the winter...its CHEAP then!! Both of our plane tickets were under $600.00...taxes and all...roundtrip. And we backpacked/stayed in hostels, so that was really cheap too!

Scotland's just the most beautiful country, and Armistice is still taken very seriously there. Sometimes it can be a little bit overlooked in England, especially in the provices. I don't know why.
